Wood Shapes

I thought I would post a photo of a set of hedgehogs I made a while back.  I cut these hedgehogs out of 1″ mdf wood and added paper to the body with mod podge.  The eyes, toes, and the spots on the back have little gems on them, which reflect really nicely in the light.  I added a little pink bow to their ears to make them more girly looking.  Of course, these would be great in a boys room as well if done in other colors.  They can sit on a shelf, have a hook added to the back for hanging, or be attached to my bookends which are also for sale.  I sell these...

Black and White Bookends Kit

I just finished a new set of bookends to showcase with my bookends kits.  I did this set with two different black and white paper designs, which were mod podged onto each letter.  I then painted black polka dots on to each end and added black paper flowers, which were cut out with my cuttlebug machine and glued on with mod podge.  Paper flowers were added to each letter as well with a fun little nail tack. These bookend kits can be decorated any way you like.  You’ll get a pair of unpainted wood bookends, any two unpainted wood letters, paper letters which will...

Fall Harvest Kit

The weather is getting a bit cooler and I noticed yesterday that some of the trees are starting to change color already.  That can mean one thing…fall is on it’s way.  I love everything about fall, the colors, the cooler weather, being able to wear comfy sweaters, and it’s the perfect time to start in on those autumn crafts. I’ve created a new HARVEST kit that includes everything you need to make your own fall decoration.  It includes 7 unfinished wood blocks in staggered sizes of 5.5″, 4.5″, and 4″.  It also comes with paper...

Birthday Banners

It was my son’s birthday yesterday and I got to put up the Happy Birthday banner I made for him the year before.  I also made a banner with his name that I strung across the fireplace.  I put ribbon coils between each letter and it looked really good.  I also hung ribbon coils from the ceiling (just with some scotch tape) and scattered balloons all over the floor.  My kids love it when I decorate for their birthdays. My other son will be eleven in a couple of weeks and he keeps telling me he wants decorations for his birthday.  He was old enough this year that...

Teacher’s Card

I just realized exactly how close we are to the end of the school year!  I mean, I know it’s close, but I forgot all about making cards for my boys teachers.  I got busy today and made the first one, which is of a pencil.  I still have two more cards to make and I’d like them all to be different.  I made an apple card before with the Home Accents Cricut cartridge, and I suppose I could do something similar again.  There’s also an apple on my Plantin SchoolBook cartridge that could be cute.  As for the teacher’s gift, I have no idea what to do...

Scribble Flower Cuttlebug Die

I just finished three projects that I thought would be fun and simple for kids to make.  I made a magnet, a necklance and a friendship pin.  They were very simple to make using craft foam, the Scribble Flower Cuttlebug die, and of course the Cuttlebug machine.  You can check out a photo of these flowers in my Kids Crafts...

New Photos and New Projects

I finally got my photos up!  Check out the new Letter Blocks category, birthday cards, and kids crafts to see the projects I’ve been working on over the past couple of months. Also, I’ve been putting my new saws to work!  I made a name block for my sons room yesterday.  It has a skull on top that I cut out with my band saw and scroll saw, and the block below reads Travis’s Room over the word CAUTION.  It looks good on his shelf and he really likes it, so I’m happy. Today I’m going to work on a set of book ends.  I’ve already cut out...
