Valentine’s Day Treat Bags

Here’s an example of the Valentine’s Day treat bags I’m making for my son’s class.  I bought some cellophane goody bags with hearts on them at the dollar store which measured 4″ wide by 4″ long.  This was perfect because it allowed me to cut out bags with my Cricut machine that were 12″ long by 4″ wide.  This way I could fit 3 on a 12″ x 12″ piece of cardstock. I ended up making my own paper bags using the basic shapes available in SCAL.  I used the rectangle and the heart, which was super easy.  I got my...

Christmas Goody Bags

I made some Christmas goody bags for my son to give to his grade 3 classmates.  I wish I would have done these sooner to put online, but for some reason I keep forgetting Christmas is next week already.  I thought the kids still had a week left of school!  I had actually started these last week, but got caught up doing some bookends, so….Nothing like leaving it to the last day! These goody bags are a similar idea to the Halloween bags I made.  I used some little baggies that I found at the dollar store, cardstock, butterfly clips, ribbon, and gems.  I used my...

Free Stocking SVG

I just added a new stocking svg to the craft edge website.  It’s titled Classic Stocking.  This is a quick example of what I did with my svg.  I cut out the stocking in red paper using ‘Blackout’.  I then cut it out in ‘Normal’ in white and snipped the top off.  I glittered the bottom in red and the top with white.  (Remember you don’t have to glitter the top of the stocking because it’ll be covered with the white part.  I made that mistake.) After I glittered each piece I stuck them between two pieces of paper and ran them...

Club Penguin Puffle

Here’s another Club Penguin Puffle I made the other day.  I put the svg up at Craft Edge a couple of days ago under the ‘cartoon’ category and forgot to post a photo of it here.  I’m going to be adding an angry puffle (I think he’s the grey or black one) right away too, so keep an eye out for that.  I still have to get my wood cutouts put up on my site but I’ve been a little busy the last couple of days.  I’m making a new set of bookends for a friend of mine, so I’ll post a picture of those when I’m done as well!.

Puffle Post

I started out by sanding and priming some of my blocks today and got side tracked with another idea.  I decided to try creating a Puffle svg.  My son is into Club Penguin right now so I thought I’d make a little shelf decoration for his room.  Creating this puffle svg hasn’t been easy for me.  I don’t really know how to make svg’s that well, but I’m happy with how it turned out (except I did the one in my photo backwards.  He was supposed to be leaning the other way). I’ll be posting the raw wood puffle shape in my shop tomorrow....

Scribble Flower Cuttlebug Die

I just finished three projects that I thought would be fun and simple for kids to make.  I made a magnet, a necklance and a friendship pin.  They were very simple to make using craft foam, the Scribble Flower Cuttlebug die, and of course the Cuttlebug machine.  You can check out a photo of these flowers in my Kids Crafts...
