Pumpkin Garland

I made this cute pumpkin garland with a pumpkin svg I got from Premium Digital Design.  It came with a solid background, and then the outline for the front.  I used two colors of cardstock paper, and cut out each six times for both the front and back using the SCAL program with my Silhouette Cameo machine.  I simply taped string to the backside of each pumpkin to hang from my fireplace mantle.  This is the perfect autumn svg to create fall crafts, or Thanksgiving decorations!  SVG...

Strawberry Treat Holder SVG

This is a strawberry treat holder svg I found at svgcuts.  It measures approximately 3″ long x 2.5″ wide.  The top comes off so you can fill it with Valentine’s Day goodies. I cut it out with my Cricut Explore.  I can’t remember if the svg would open already to size, ready for cutting, with my Cricut Expression (because I could use the SCAL program with that), but you can still cut these SVG’s out with the Explore, you just have to size them yourself, which can be tricky.  I just sized the top of my strawberry a bit bigger than my...

Valentine’s Blocks

Here’s a set of Valentine’s blocks I created with some pined wood, paper, and vinyl.  I cut my blocks at 3.5″, 4″, and 4.5″, and painted them an antique white.  I picked some cute Valentine’s day paper, and cut them just a bit smaller than my blocks.  I trimmed the corners with my rounded corner punch, and stuck them on with some mod podge.  (I meant to ink the edges before sticking them on, but forgot)  I cut my vinyl out to spell the word LOVE, and tried to do them smaller than my paper (I screwed up with the O though).  If you...

Valentine’s Day Pencil Holder SVG

I found this super cute pencil holder svg online and thought it would be perfect as a classroom Valentine’s Day gift.  Either kids can give them to classmates, or teacher’s to their students. I downloaded the file and imported it into my Cricut Design program to cut out there.  I first put the Valentine’s day svg’s onto my Cricut canvas, then added some text to the hearts.  I did Be Mine, one in pink, and the other in black.  I then used the handy print and cut feature that Cricut Design offers. Some playing around and re-sizing did need to be...

Christmas DIY

Chocolate and candy are of course easy Christmas ideas to give, but just sticking a chocolate bar in a stocking or advent calender is a bit boring.  It’s so easy to add your own personal crafty touch when giving candy.  My boys love Reese peanut butter cups, so I used a pack of these for my Christmas craft.  You can easily wrap these bars, and others of course, in Christmas paper, to give them a festive look.  All I did was cut my paper to length, and measure the four edges going around to get the width (make sure you leave a little extra so you can overlap your...

Chalkboard Christmas Countdown Blocks

I ordered some chalkboard vinyl ages ago, and have never done anything with it.  I decided to finally make a set of Christmas countdown blocks with it.  I cut two squares out of a 2×4, measuring 3.5″ high and wide, then I cut a 2 x 2 at 7″ long.  I painted my square blocks red, and the bottom block green, and added some Christmas themed papers to each.  The bottom is just red cardstock, embossed with little dots.  I like to keep anything that’s going to have writing on fairly solid, so the words are easy to read. I then cut my chalkboard...
