Owl and Raccoon Forest Friends Bookends

This is my newest set of bookends inspired by the bedding set Carter’s Forest Friends.  These bookends feature a cute little owl and raccoon, which have each been done in brown, black and grey.  The bookends have been painted a soft green, with neutral grey edges. These bookends would go great in a woodland themed bedroom!  You can shop for them in my Etsy shop, and check out the other bookends I have available as well!  Like Crafty Canada on Facebook as well and see what other crafts I’ve been working...

Owls Sky Inspired Bookends

This is my latest set of owl bookends, which was inspired by the bedding set Owls Sky that I saw at RosenberryRooms.com.  The bedding set has been made for boys bedrooms, as well as nurseries.  They’re cute enough for the babies room, but the colors are mature looking enough for older kids as well! The owls have been done in greys, browns, and blues, and each bookend features a tree inspired from the bedding set as well.  The edges incorporate the green from the bedding too. This bookend set would be great in a nature themed bedroom, or woodland animals bedroom...

Owl and Butterfly Bookends

This is a brightly coloured custom set of bookends I made in pink, aqua, green, and lavender to match my customer’s  bedding set (unfortunately I don’t know the name of the set or where to purchase it).  I think it would go pretty well in any owl or butterfly themed room though that incorporates these colours.  The Baby Boom Owls In A Tree bedding set at Walmart would be a great match for this set.  Or coordinate these bookends with floral prints, stripes, or polka dots with the same colors.  There are so many cute kids bedding sets out there that they can...

Owl Coat Hook

This is my newest creation to go along with the whole owl theme.  This is my little coat hook I created in brown, green, and purple.  This sleeping owl is about 8″ high by 7″ wide and has had a brushed silver knob screwed to the front of it.  Green and purple flowers were added to the ear to give this little owl a cute girly look! Two key hole notches were put in the back for hanging.  These are great because the owl is hooked solid to the wall and won’t move around when you hang up or remove sweaters, like it would with just a hook on the back. This...

Dinosaur Stacking Blocks

I found the cutest dinosaur paper at the scrapbook store the other day.  I grabbed the Dino Parade and BabySaurus papers from the Little Yellow Bicycle Collection.  I’ve been wanting to do some decorative stacking blocks, so I thought this paper would be perfect on them! I cut three blocks approximately three inches each, primed them, and painted them each a different color, light orange, green, and blue.  Because the colors were all so light I thought I would add a darker shade of the same color cardstock to each side, before mounting my dino paper onto them. I...

Create Your Own Kids Room Wall Art

This is a quick idea for anyone looking to add some art to their child’s room.  Rather than going out from store to store searching for that perfect picture, why not create your own? I found these 4″ x 6″ frames at the dollar store for $5.00 each!  I loved the simple bright white color, which I thought would go great in a girl’s or boy’s room.  All I did from there was pick a couple of cute pictures from my Create A Critter Cricut cartridge, mount them on some pretty patterned paper, and add a few gems to each animal to finish them off....
