Baby Photo Prop Idea

I’ve been making these really cute name blocks, mainly for kids right now.  They’re great for decorating a baby nursery, or for giving as a personalized gift.  But, they would also be cute as a photo prop in a baby picture!  Imagine a cute picture of baby, with his or her name with them made out of little wooden blocks. I’m selling custom name blocks at my Etsy shop, now called Decorated Wood.  If you would like a custom set of these blocks, click here, and order online.  It’s super easy, just pick a set you like, pick the quantity of blocks...

Jungle Theme Name Sign

My niece recently had preemie triplets, so I made her some little name signs to hang in the NICU.  Of course, I forgot to take pictures, so I made this one when I got home.  She hates pink, so I made sure I used lots of it on this one 🙂 I used 4 different cardstock papers, 2 solids, and 2 patterns.  I cut the gorilla from one of my svg’s I had on hand, and gave it a little flower to give it a girly look.  I embossed the body and leg with two different cuttlebug folders, and popped out the leg and flower to give her some dimension.  I used black gems for the...

HOME Blocks

Here’s my latest addition to my Etsy Shop.  A pretty set of HOME blocks done in black and purple.  They’ve been cut from 3/4″ pine at 4″ tall, and have been painted black.  A pretty purple floral print cardstock was mod podged on, and black cardstock letters on top of that.  Everything was sealed with the mod podge, then finished with a water-based clear coat.  Pretty flowers were stuck onto the corner with a decorative nail tack, and black ribbon with white polka dots was also added on.  This would be a pretty set in an entryway to welcome...

Strawberry Treat Holder SVG

This is a strawberry treat holder svg I found at svgcuts.  It measures approximately 3″ long x 2.5″ wide.  The top comes off so you can fill it with Valentine’s Day goodies. I cut it out with my Cricut Explore.  I can’t remember if the svg would open already to size, ready for cutting, with my Cricut Expression (because I could use the SCAL program with that), but you can still cut these SVG’s out with the Explore, you just have to size them yourself, which can be tricky.  I just sized the top of my strawberry a bit bigger than my...
