I felt like making a Halloween craft today, so I thought I’d try a banner. I used the pennant svg from the Toil and Trouble SVG Kit (click the link to go to this kit), along with a few other SVG’s from some other kits. I picked black cardstock paper for my background pennant, which was done with the pointy shadow effect on my Cricut machine, and purple, red, and orange cardstock for the top layer. I was going to use patterned Halloween scrapbook paper, but I thought it might distract from the letters in my word SPOOKY.
I got the bat and flower svgs from the Elmhurst Hollow SVG Kit, and the spider web from the Salazar’s Scary Squares SVG Kit. I used pop dots under my silver with white polka dots sparkly letters, and punched holes in the tops of my pennants with a hand punch. I did a bit of inking, and found some cute ribbon to put it all together with. I think it turned out pretty cute, and, if it’s not raining on Halloween night, I might hang it outside on my front railing.
