I started out today ready to finish a set of wooden photo blocks I’m working on. I got my wood cut and painted yesterday, and this morning I got my paper mod podged on. The next step was to pick out my photos. I have three blocks so I figured I’d do a block for each of my sons, and the top block would be them together or with my husband and I. Well in doing so I’ve created a whole new project for myself…sorting through photos.
This is something I’ve been meaning to do for years and I don’t know if I’ll ever get it done. I thought I’d make a disc up for each of my boys with pictures of themselves throughout the years, a separate one of them together, and another with extended family. Actually I have a whole bunch of different CD’s I could make, but I’ll start with the basics. Fortunately my oldest son is only 11 years old, and we got our first digital camera when he was about five, so I’ve only got about five years of paper photos to scan in. Although five years doesn’t seem like much, it is. Thank goodness the rest of our pictures are already in the computer and just need to be sorted into various categories.
Now to pick out thirteen photos to stick onto my blocks. I’m the worst decision maker ever. I want everything. Each picture is so special to me that it’s hard to make a choice! I’m still trying to decide whether to do all newborn photos, or them at different ages. I guess I’ll let you all know when I’m done. In the mean time, this photo is of what I’ve got finished so far!
