Finished My Name Blocks

I got the name blocks finished last night I started on a couple of days ago.  I didn’t get to put a clear coat finish on them though, so hopefully they’ll last alright.  I was a bit rushed though.  I wasn’t home all day yesterday as we went to Chilliwack for a big RV show.  That was a four hour drive each way, so as soon as I got home last night I finished them up.  I added on some pink and black flowers, ribbon, buttons, and some pink jewels.  I’m hoping I didn’t over embellish them, but they are for a four year old, so I think they...

Name Blocks

Today I’m working on a set of name blocks for a little girls birthday.  I’m using scrapbook paper with pink and green patterns, but each page is different.  Hopefully she likes those colors, but she’s only 4 so I don’t think it’ll be an issue.  I haven’t said anything to my friend about it because I want them to be a surprise. Easter Blocks

Today I made a set of wood blocks for Easter.  I used papers with pink, blue and purple and cut the letters and words Hippity Hoppity out of black vinyl.  Some ribbon and buttons were used for embellishments and I cut out little eggs from the Easter Art font I have in my Sure Cuts A Lot program.  The letters in EASTER were cut out of a variety of different fonts. I was having a little trouble applying my vinly today.  My transfer tape kept wanting to rip my paper for some reason.  Fortunately I antiqued all the paper with distress ink so it’s not too obvious. ...

Cuttlebug & Cuttlekids Invitations

Today I made a couple of party invitations using the Cuttlebug and Cuttlekids machines.  I used brightly colored red, orange, yellow, green, and blue cardstock paper, a Cuttlebug alphabet for the PARTY logo, and the Cuttlekids helicopter die cut.  I printed out the who, when, where, and RSVP out on yellow cardstock with my printer using the curls font.  The helicopter was stuck on using pop dots to give the invitation a 3D effect. On the back of the invitation are stick on magnets.  I did this with my son’s birthday party invitations I made last year so people...
